Chicken Stir Fry

This recipe I made up one night while I was still living with my parents. I came home one night and every one already had something for dinner. I didn't feel like going out so I looked in the freezer to see what I could come up with. After I made this my sister and I fell in love with my recipe that even to this day she is always asking me what it is in it and how you make it. So, here it is my famous chicken stir fry! Mind you, I don't have any measurements of the spices, I just use my senses.

Here is what I put in my chicken stir fry. If you want it more spicy add some cayenne pepper to it.

First I cut up my 4-5 chicken breasts in slices and put them on the stove. If you don't have time to have uncooked chicken, you can also use the frozen grilled chicken strips.
I add onion and garlic and cook until chicken is done.
Then I add my first batch of spices,
Black pepper (not too much)
sesame seeds
Soy sauce
Worcestershire sauce.
and if your feeling brave cayenne pepper (not too much)
Let that simmer for a bit then add the veggies,

These are the veggies I put in since most of my family don't like the stir fry veggies but you can do any. Stir around chicken and veggies and let them cook/thaw.

Once it is all cooked then I again add my sauces to where the veggies are a little brown color.
I let it simmer till it is finished!
All done and ready to eat! I usually serve it with white rice. This night we had it with French bread. My favorite is just a bowl of this and nothing else,
Enjoy! I hope I didn't scare you with no measurements. Maybe this is the time to be brave and just use your senses! It is pretty easy and fast dinner!
Cheers to a good meal!

Spicing up the walls

I have always had a thing for picture frames. I am in love with them and cant turn them down.
I do hate paying full price for anything so of course I always go for the clearance aisle at the regular store and always looking at thrift stores and garage sales.

I was hanging out with my friend this week looking for fabric so I can finish my quilt and of course we started at the thrift store and made our way to JoAnne's fabrics, but on our way there we saw a HUGE T.J. Maxx (our love for that store can't be beat) so of course we had to go in before we made our way to the fabric store. I made a bee line straight to the clearance aisle and we found a few picture frames, well there were tons of them, but not in the price range I wanted to spend. I also picked up a few with my sister on new years day for my collection.
Now, I just have to find what pictures I want to put in them and where to put them on the wall to spice it up. As you can see in the this picture I did not care if all the frames matched or not. I think it looks great with different frames and makes the spice more like art rather then just pictures. Also add something special in between, like I added my hubby and I initials. It does not have to all be frames. think of fun ideas put them together on a table to see the arrangement before putting it on the walls.
So go give it a try and spice up your walls!
Toddles for now!

first post

It's 2014 and I'm ready to get started on the things I told myself I would last year. I think I can share what every woman thinks when they are on Pinterest, "I'm going to save that to do later." Do we even get there to be able to that do it yourself project that we pinned. We think our lives are so busy that we can't even just sit and enjoy the things that we would love to do. I'm here to tell you that we do have time to enjoy all the things we pinned/thought of to do. This blog is here to help myself and others to enjoy the projects we want to do/need to do.

So, Cheers to 2014 and to all of us to take a break from our busy lives and start our projects! To start things off here is a picture of a quilt I'm making and of course I will be telling you guys how easy it is to do later on.

Toodles for now!
